Mary Ann Boerner

Mary Ann Boerner is a communications consultant with 25 years experience working with corporations, entrepreneurs, banks, trade associations, not-for-profits, and professional practices.  Mary Ann Boerner was a partner coordinating client programs and activities for Rowan & Blewitt, a nationally known consultants organization.

Her management experience includes programmatic public relations programs; print and Web publishing; graphics and design; meeting planning and coordination of special events; execution of grassroots communication programs; database management; direct marketing and promotions; print and electronic advertising campaigns; association support services; video and audio production and business and demographic research.

Boerner founded a public relations, advertising and integrated marketing services company in 1975, serving brand marketers, airlines, business-to-business marketers, trade and professional associations, public sector agencies, and professional practices. Clients included: Reynolds Metals; American Airlines; Royal Jordanian Airlines; Canon USA; search firm Lamalie Associates; several regional bar (legal) associations; Curative Technologies (biotech); and other national organizations.

Earlier, Mary Ann was administrator/manager of a public relations and public affairs unit of the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority.  

She is an active advocate for small business, and minority and women-owned business, served as a national representative of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and served as President of the Long Island, NY, Chapter. In 1995, Boerner was elected New York State delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business.

Mary Ann Boerner is a member of the Long Island Association (regional chamber of commerce) and its Small Business Committee.  In 1999 she received the prestigious NAWBO Award for business achievement.

She is a graduate of the State University of New York’s College of Technology and also attended the New York Institute of Technology.  Boerner is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie leadership series.
